Meet Kimberly Conner
Hi, I'm Kimberly — an Arizona-based travel writer, photographer, and content creator. I grew up moving between the Sonoran Desert and the pine country of the White Mountains, and I've spent the last decade of my life driving, hiking, and photographing every corner of this state. AZ Travel Tips is where I share the trips I actually take, the trailheads I actually park at, and the diners I actually stop at on the way home.
Beyond this site, I share Arizona travel content with a community of 230k+ followers across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube. My photography and writing have focused exclusively on the American Southwest since 2018, and I live full-time in Arizona so I can re-visit destinations as conditions change through the seasons.

Our editorial approach
We aim to be the trusted local friend you wish you had before booking a trip. That means:
- Every guide is written from personal, first-hand experience.
- We disclose when a place has changed, closed, or no longer lives up to its reputation.
- We don't accept payment for inclusion in any list or guide.
- Every image is original to AZ Travel Tips or specifically licensed for use here.
- We update older guides when conditions on the ground change and note the "Last updated" date on every article.
Advertising & affiliate transparency
AZ Travel Tips is a free publication supported by two revenue streams, both disclosed openly:
- Display advertising. We serve advertisements through Google AdSense and may work with other reputable ad networks. Ads are labeled and served automatically based on the reader — we do not sell, review, or approve individual advertisements, and advertisers have no influence over our editorial coverage.
- Affiliate links. A small number of links on this site (to lodging, gear, and tour bookings) are affiliate links. If you click one and complete a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. We only link to products and services we would personally recommend, and we never accept payment in exchange for a positive review, ranking, or inclusion in a guide.

Why Arizona
Arizona is one of the most geographically varied states in the country — desert, pine forest, alpine peaks, slot canyons, mining towns, wine country — all within a few hours of each other. It's an unfair amount of beauty for one state, and we think it deserves a publication that takes it seriously.
