AZ Travel Tips is an independent Arizona travel publication. We hold ourselves to the same standards readers expect from any responsible publisher. This policy describes how we work.

First-hand reporting

Every destination guide on this Site is built on first-hand reporting. We have visited, driven, hiked, or stayed at the places we describe — usually multiple times, in different seasons. Where we draw on the experience of trusted local contributors, we identify them by name.

Sourcing and references

When we cite statistics, history, regulations, or scientific information, we link to authoritative sources (federal and state agencies, peer-reviewed research, official tribal and park websites). We do not cite other travel blogs as authorities.

Editorial independence

We do not accept payment, gifts, or comped trips in exchange for editorial inclusion or favorable coverage. Where a product, lodging, or tour was provided for review, we disclose it clearly in the relevant article.

Advertising — including Google AdSense — is sold and managed separately from editorial. Advertisers have no influence over what we cover or how we cover it.

Affiliate links

A small portion of our revenue comes from affiliate commissions on lodging, gear, and tour bookings. Affiliate relationships never determine whether a destination appears in our coverage. We only link to services we would personally recommend.

Updates and freshness

We review and update existing guides when conditions on the ground change — road closures, permit changes, business closures, new attractions. Every article shows both a published date and a last-updated date.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly when they are brought to our attention. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the article. To report an error, email contact@aztraveltips.com.

AI policy

We use AI tools as research and editing assistants only. We do not publish AI-generated articles. Every guide on this Site is written and reviewed by a human editor before publication.

Author bylines

Every article carries an author byline linking to a full bio page with credentials, areas of expertise, and contact information.
